I am looking for information about compensation for distance education courses taught at universities. We are beginning our efforts with distance education (including asynchronous through the web and synchronous through our distance learning classrooms). One of the sticky issues has to do with compensation for faculty. We are looking for input about policies that other colleges and universities have for compensating faculty fairly for distance education. Compensation issues might include: compensation for the extra time developing courses for the web, compensation for teaching more students or more "sections" at different locations, ownership of materials developed for web-based courses. If your college or university has a policy for compensation, please send me information about it. Thank you very much. --David ------------------------------------------------------------------------ David M.
