Shuttle Transportation to and from AERA Conf. in New Orleans

Can anyone help me with a potential transportation problem related to the
AERA conference?

I will be arriving by air on Wednesday afternoon, April 6 at 3:15 and
have been booked into an "outlying" hotel in Metairie, La. (6 miles from
the convention site in New Orleans) due to all other conference hotels
being full.  So far, I'm having no luck, either through AERA or the hotel
with seeing if shuttle transportation will be provided between the
Marriott/Sheraton sites downtown and my hotel.  I'm booked at the Best
Western Landmark Hotel in Metairie.

Has anybody else found out about shuttle arrangements among the hotels,
or do you know the name of someone at AERA with whom I should speak to
get this straightened out?  When I called the main AERA number in D.C.
today the woman who answered told me "I'd have to make arrangements on my
own."  I'm a bit frustrated, and hope something better can be worked out.

HELP!
