I am having some unbelievable hard time getting TimeOutLimit variable and
TimeOutGoTo system function working with one of my kiosk projects. I wonder
if anyone out there has a solution to my problems.
There are number of timeout problems that keep cropping up with this
project.
1) Sometimes the timeout works normally and at other times it does not work
at all.
2) Sometimes it works the first time and then stops working when the user
clicks on the warning screen hot spot to continue with the program.
3) Every time the TimeOutGoTo function is triggered and user clicks the
warning screen to continue with the program, and then clicks the Previous
button, the Background Diary is deleted. Note: The background is drawn at
the beginning of the frame (Entry: Level1). Nothing in the Frame specified
in the TimeOutGoTo function should trigger the background to be erased,
however, it is erased every time the user continues the program and the
presses the Previous button. The Previous button has a Perpetual Scope with
the following settings:
Destination: Nearby
Page: Previous
Following is the code and settings for other relevant items.
InitialiseVariablesAndTimeout Calculation Icon
===============================
This Icon sets TimeOutLimit and TimeOutGoTo
Initialize()
TimeOutLimit:=60
TimeOutGoTo(IconID@"WriteAndStartOver")
WriteAndStartOver Subroutine Frame
==========================
This frame displays a Warning Screen prompting the user to click the screen
to continue. If the user clicks the Hot Spot on the screen (the entire
warning screen is a hot spot) within 10 seconds, the warning screen is
erased and user continues with the program. If the user does not click the
warning screen within 10 seconds the program restarts.
Display Warning Screen
CheckIfTouched Interaction Icon (has 2 options only)
Option One (user clicks the hot spot with in 10 seconds)
========================================
Delete Warning
ReturnToLastScreen Navigation Icon is triggered with the following
settings:
Destination: GOBack
Page: Recent
PS: Hot Object is set up with following settings:
Type: Hot Object
Match: Single-click
Option Two (user does not click the warning signal screen within 10 seconds)
=======================================================
The option is triggered when a 10-second time limit is reached with user
activity. The program restarts. The following settings are set on the time
limit:
Type: Time limit
Time limit settings:
==============
Time limit: 10 Seconds
Interruption: Pause, Restart on Return
Restart for Each Try
Response settings:
=============
Erase: After Next Entry
Branch: Exit Interaction
Status: Not Judged
I have no idea what's causing all the problems with this project. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
