I have just finished seeing the famous ETA interview on the BBC. The
great news: whatever the outcome, no return to the armed conflict in
this generation.

The program started with a long review of the last year starting from
the death of Miguel Angel Blanco. It game time to it and to the Ermua
spirit and it does not portrait ETA in a sympathetic way, more the
opposite if anything. It did also contained short periods dedicated to a
family going to Cadiz to visit his Etarra son in prison and a very brief
interview to the sister of Zabala. Otegi and Jerry Adams appeared
briefly. Also Arzallus that said a couple of very intelligent things.
Oreja appeared extensively and the program was organized so that he had
most of the times the right to the last word.

The interview with ETA (two masked men no guns on the table) was very
short (adding all the pieces together less than 10 minutes). The
journalist was aggressive and asked them what they have to say to the
family of Blanco.

In such a brief interview very little time for ETA to explain
extensively points but the message was: the war is over this generation,
we are not sorry about what we did and it is necessary to build a future
in peace
