G'day! It is rare that I put an inquiry out to the list and not et ONE response! I am sure I have NOT stumped the list, but rather..this small request got lost because I stuck it in a post that tried to cover too much ground. I am looking for the lyrics to the song "Coming Down From God". I have it on "The Heart of the Singer" CD, but they say they got it from Molly O'Day. So I am ALSO interested in source info on the O'Day recording..if such a thing is possible. But mostly what I need are the lyrics! I can't even dig up a good Mondegreen for the words I think I am hearing <g> Thanks, dian in spokane

Molly O'Day's 1949 recording of the song appears on a 1990 Old Homestead "limited collectors edition" LP (!), In Memory. Old Homestead's has been putting some of its albums to CD in the last few years; this may now or in the future be among them.
