You know "Rocko" once called Sonny Osborne a #**!!#!@ while one stage,
but ONLY once..after the show, Sonny tracked him down and "kicked his #@!"

"Rocko" now calls Sonny "sir".

Not again..

Who is "ROCKO"? And why is it so funny that Rocko calls Sonny "sir"? I
know I would if I met him.

My mother brought me up to be considerate to visitors. I was taught that
it is bad manners to have 'in' jokes in front of others, never explaining
to them. It makes them feel unwelcome and spurned.

If that's what all these In jokes are meant to display, fine. I'll go
somewhere else, where the people have better manners. If not, please don't
start off another round of the Godbey Lodge here. Please.

That whole lodge thing was obviously great fun and an uproarious joke for
those who knew who was who and what the various incidents referred to, but
to me, who doesn't know personally many bluegrass people, it just seemed
rude. That's why I was grateful when the lodge moved away to its own list,
where those in the inner clique could laugh away with their private jokes
by themselves in peace while not at the same time spitting in my face. I
got so annoyed at deleting more than half the BGRASS-L messages because
they might as well have been in dutch or russian for all they meant to me.

I don't know for certain, but I feel sure that many others who don't live
in Kentucky/Tennessee area thought the same as me.

Cheers,

First of all Michael,

The Lodge is NOT a joke. We have our own list, our on chat room, and over
50 members (if not more) on our list. Our column at the Bluegrass Telegraph
is probably one of the most popular on the site. Our list and popularity
is growing very fast. Sonny Osborne is even on our list!

Once again, if you don't like the Lodge stuff...delete it!!

Remember, you are not the ONLY one on this list. There are many who
do enjoy the Lodge stuff.

Did you read the article last month in the Philadelphia Newspaper which
spoke about BGRASS-L? The writer of that article also confessed to
being a huge fan of the Lodge.

And by the way, "SolidGoldBluegrass.Com" plans to do a live remote from
the Lodge this Summer. We also have our OWN line of Lodge clothing.
(hats, shirts,etc)

I don't think this sounds much like a "unpopular joke". I think its
the beginnings of something huge.

The Godbey Lodge......Here today...Here tomorrow...Here from now on!!
