Sorry Mike, you are right of course, the Lodge knows it isn't wanted on
the bgrass-L.
Somehow someone dialed the wrong number, I suppose. Again, sorry.
Still, try to understand the Lodge as the Lodge tries to understand you.
The Lodge is just trying to have some fun
See this Lodge post, written in good humor:

ONE Lodgeman, in pain from your rebuff, said:
>mike kear has, of right damn NOW, lost his "fridge rights"! he is CUT
OFF!....<

Another said to that:
>That AIN"T gonna bother Mike Kear. He drinks his bitters hot. I
am told that Mike lives in two different hemispheres (???sounds bad)
from us Lodgemen....and that he spends his whole life up-side down. If
he pukes he throws down. They say, he is feeling pretty down under
about where he lives...think of it this way:

Mike can't talk plain English, tho he bravely does a radio show. He
loves bluegrass that much. (He can't be all bad) He sleeps when we
wake, and wakes when we sleep. When the sun shines on us, it leaves him
in the dark, I swear that is what I am told. Mike Kear surely has a dark
cloud over him. He drives everywhere he goes on the wrong side of the
road, I'm told. Don't you know he ticks off a lot of people doing that.
Living backward is bound to get to you. I know, they used to call me
backwards back home.

He lives on an island (inhabited by prisoners) and it takes him twelve
hours in an aeroplane to get to any of the good festivals. They tell me
he thinks it is way down in the fall right now, and goes round saying
winter is on the way and dresses that-a-way. Worst of all, they say his
toilet flushes the wrong way.....my gawd, what a mess that must make.
Talk about having a bad attitude, well, I reckon so.

He ain't afraid of the list either. Besides, he's right about lodge
posts being unwelcome on the bgrass-L. We all know that by now. I don't
want to sound like my wife talking to her momma about me, but we
Lodgemen know the list don't want or understand us & ain't ready for
us....who is? I can barely hang on in here myself. I think I am the DD
(Designated drunk, I mean, driver) of the Lodge as is.

I say, from what I have said, that he has the makings of a kick butt
Lodgeman. Mike just don't know it yet. Take pity on the poor bloke. Get
him drunk and he might straighten up and talk right and get off his head
and onto his feet. We can watch him make snowmen this summer while we
kick up our feet and toss beer cans at him and him chunk snowballs back
at us.

Consider this one last thing....Mike has a stick that fetches itself,
I'm told. That's right, he throws it, and it comes back all by itself.
TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FACT !
Guess he ain't got no dog. How bad can it get? A man without a dog,
dad-gone it. How some folk have to live....like in a prison. Lets let
Mike be Mike. He's doing the best he can.

clone...who sounds just like I was in high school.<

As official spin doctor & apologist for the Lodge, to Mike Kear I say, I
am sorry and will urge all Lodge business be kept off the bgrass-L.
Mike is AAA in my book, & he and all of you are welcome to visit the
Lodge, and to the Great Bgrass-L I beg you all to please try to
understand the Lodge just as we tried to understand Mike Kear. Someone
needs to understand what is happening over there.
I never meant to post again re: the Lodge, but couldn't help myself.

PS I am once more heading over to sit my shift with my long time buddy
after his triple by-pass/valve job...send some good thoughts his way,
please, he plays guitar & mouth harp .
