Don,
Sorry I didn't respond earlier ... I've been out of the office since
last Wed. CITC uses mainly commercial products to monitor our
network activity, with one home-grown exception ... but I doubt
that CITC would want to make that available as freeware, if at
all. If Reggie is looking for freeware we can't help. If he
needs orientation, then I suggest that he go to one of the many
network-oriented conferences and trade shows and talk with the
vendors. More detailed info would depend on the nature of his
networks ... I'm reading into this that he has a bunch of LANs.
There are software-based LAN monitors available for under $500
(that's one monitor per LAN). Feel free to pass this on to him.

Is there anyone that has a program in place that tracks the activity
of the networks. We are looking at ways to put in place a program that can
give us any idea of network activity for a lot of networks in our environment.
Any response would be appreciated.
