CARDIFF SCHOOL OF CIRCUS AND THEATRE - WALES
               Circus Expedition to France

Our School provides the opportunity for children of all
ages to learn performing and circus skills; juggling,
stilt walking, acrobatics, tight rope, unicycling and
much more. Established in 1991, our success can be
measured by the number of children who regularly attend
our workshops (60 Children every week) and have developed
a huge range of performing skills. We have also had a
fantastic response from the public to performances put on
by our School.
One of our Directors, John Paul, has through his work
established contacts in Sospel, South of France, where
the kinds of skills taught in our school are lacking and
in great demand. This has lead to the germination of a
fantastic project! In April 1994 we want to take 25
children from Cardiff (including my daughter Alice and
son Kim) to the South of France to put on performances
and to work together with an equal number of French
children. This is a wonderful opportunity to share skills
and learn about each others cultures in Schools,
Community Centres and in our Big Top!
Now to the heart of the matter... We are able to raise
some funds by organising various activities, but will
have difficulty finding the full 10,000 we need. The
current economic constraints in Great Britain and the
Global Recession means there are few purse strings we can
pull. We therefore ask you; Have you got a Dollar, a
Pound, a Franc, a Deutchmark, a Guilder, a Lire or a
Peseta to spare for us? Plural if possible? If you do, we
will be eternally grateful and promise to keep in contact
with you.....maybe one day we may even visit your town
and invite your children to join in the fun!!!!!
