Am in the process of looking into Ira's archive. In fact I got a pretty
detailed group of responses on the Maltedmedia list about the longevity of
the merged Hot CoCo -> 80 Micro venture.

I was mostly curious on the merger because as with all things, Hot CoCo came
out of 80 Micro in the beginning, and then as things turned sour the powers
that be decided to merge back Hot CoCo as a mere section in 80 Micro... all
with the "just the right thing to do now" and "so very appropiate" with a
couple of "we will be able to serve you better" editorial notes in Hot CoCo
as they announced the merger. Images of Lonnie Falk's PRINT#-2, editorials
came to mind when The Rainbow was turned into a newspaper print format...

I think that the Commodore's Compute magazine suffered the same fate. After
being a stand alone specializing in the C=64 line, it was merged back as a
section of an upper level magazine, that section relegated to mere software
reviews and no more nitty-gritty articles, which after all seems to be the
natural "way to go" with technology :-(

Thanks Neil!
