Used to get a lot of outta state callers. I did dabble getting online on BBS, but at that time I was living in Nogales Mexico, a few steps across the border from Nogales Arizona. There were very few BBS in Arizona and none in northern Mexico so to really do something I had to dial long distance international to places as far away as NY... phone bills were not that forgiving and I actually had to work to pay them up - didn't want my father to build a case against my online activities ;-). I was using the Direct Connect Modem Pak then... 300bps. No more than two months ago I was able to setup my CoCo 3 again in my place here in NJ, had been in storage for a few years. Glad to report that everyone of my old floppy disks still load and no problems have been found with both the hadware & software, a tribute at how the whole thing was built tough! -=[ Rogelio ]=-
