Back in '81, just fresh out of high school one friend of mine took his dad's PC1 to school... wow... I went into the TRS-80s and CoCo things full swing later on but the 'pocket' computers were always there. Come in ebay and almost 20 years after I manage to buy a PC-2 which I haul to the office everyday now... my main 'calculator' and quite handy indeed, I can program it QUICKLY in Basic and get some meaningful results on the field (I work as a Broadcast Support Engineer). Besides, it always drops some jaws with coworkers and visiting FCC inspectors :-) ... who knows? did that help us in any way to get our good FCC review last year?; it was a great ice-breaker, that I can confirm. About the PC1 from my friend... for obscure twists of life I ended up getting his dad's stuff a few years ago... nothing bad happened to the dad though, he just retired and did a home-office clean up so out the door wet a full CoCo 1 setup and the PC1, straight into my open arms. -=[ Rogelio ]=-
