Randy I am still waiting for you to provide the source of statistics that you used to determine what uses remailers are put to. I still maintain that becasue of the nature of the true remailers, your statement above is meaningless, unfounded and unprovable in extremis. In order to prove such a statement you would have to have access to logs that remailers do not keep, and information about remailer users that remailer operators do not, in fact cannot request. Granted, there are people who find ways to abuse remailers, however in spite of that abuse, they serve a purpose, and because the nature of that service is privacy there is a price to pay in that some will abuse it. the sytem is however designed so that it is actually not at all practical for spammers or people wanting to post binaries. yes, some really small files will get through, but anything of meaningfull size will have major problems with enough of its pieces arriving at the final hop for it to be re-assembled and sent on. Even if a remailer were to allow a klen of 2045k, that size message would have to be broken into 2048K/29K = 71 29K messages, all of which would have to arrive at the last hop remailer within a reletively short time so that they could be reassembled and sent on. but since no remailer has a klen that high, the message would end up in the bit bucket. -=- This message was sent via two or more anonymous remailing services. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This message was posted via one or more anonymous remailing services.
