The latest (Xmas) catalog flyer from Service Merchandise
has a Phillips/Mag CDI player for $299!
If you buy it, you may also buy that encyclopedia disk
for another $99. So by unbundling that deal, SM
has got the best price around.

SM is big in the Midwest, but I think they have stores
in most of the US, and they take mailorders (or phone orders).

I forget the make & model number, but it IS the OSK CDI,
not one of those PClone imitations.

Great news -- SM is selling CDI Mouse for $39.
I hate the other controllers, but a mouse might make it
halfway decent. (The GUI is fine -- it just takes a while
to get the cursor to where you want to click with the
older controllers.)

There are two other alternate controllers
offered, that have been around for a while. Cost more than the mouse!
Maybe you don't get *any* controller with the $299 package
("oh, you want an *engine* and a *steering wheel* too?")

BTW, I can't swear that it wasn't $399 steada $299,
but I do believe it was the lower figure. I better check!
