783. Come to Me Often throughout Your Day and Speak
to Me   (May 20, 1996)

Jesus said, "My children need to know I am alive and I am truly
everywhere.

"I am alive. When you
pray, I respond."

        "Tell My children: I am alive.  When you pray, I respond.
        "Tell My children: When you talk to Me, I listen.
        "Come to Me often throughout your day and speak to Me.  I hear
you.  I hear you no matter where you are.  No matter if you speak or
keep your words in the silence of your heart.
        "I love you, My dear little children.  I will bless you.  As you make
the Sign of the Cross, I will bless you."




        COMMENTARY

        Jesus has said over and over, "If only My children would be
children."  A child is little and dependent on the parents.  We need to
be little and dependent on Jesus.  To be dependent, we have to listen
and follow the words and ways of the parent not the ways of other
children.  Jesus has said over and over, "Stay close to Me and keep
your eyes on Me."  A little child keeps his eyes on the parent and does
not want to be separated.  The child follows the parent staying close.
        We too, can do the same and keep our eyes on Jesus by following
Him through His sacraments, especially the Eucharist and
Reconciliation, following through His Living Word, through prayer,
through sacrifice and loving our neighbors as He has loved us.
        Jesus and the Blessed Mother have told us to learn the "Little Way"
of St. Therese of the Little Flower.  She always tried to please Jesus as a
child tries to please a parent.  She tried to make little sacrifices to what
He would want rather than what she would want.  St Therese said she
thought of the presence of Jesus always.  Hardly a three minute period
would go by when she did not think of Jesus.  She had the simplicity and
trust in Jesus of a little child.

        My Children Need to Know What
        They Are to Be Cleansed Of

        Isaias 1:16-20  [DRV]
                Wash yourselves, be clean, take away the evil of your devices
from my eyes:
cease to do perversely, learn to do well: seek judgment, relieve the oppressed,
judge for the fatherless, defend the widow.  And then come, and accuse me,
saith
the Lord: if your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow: and if
they be red as crimson, they be white as wool.  If you be willing, and will
harken
to me, you shall eat the good things of the land.  But if you will not, and will
provoke me to wrath: the sword shall devour you because the mouth of the Lord
hath spoken it.

                Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, every one
who commits sin
is a slave to sin.

        John 15:18-21  [RSV]
                "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it
hated you.  If
you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of
the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his
master.'  If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word,
they will keep yours also."

coming when
whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God...
                "And when he comes [the Counselor], he will convince the
world of sin and
of righteousness and of judgement: of sin, because they do not believe in me;"

                "So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of
Israel;
whenever you hear my word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from
me.  If I say to the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you do not
speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked man shall die in his
iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.  But if you warn the wicked
to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way; he shall die in his
iniquity, but you will have saved your life."
