Dear Prayer Friends:

I would like to thank all of you who have been thinking of and praying for
Preston and his family.  Things are turning out very well!  One thing has
reportedly changed about Preston ... his appetite!  His mother tells me
that he seems to eat all the time now.  Previously, they had trouble
getting him to eat.

Please find below a thank-you note and update from Preston's mom, Susan Kern.

Thank you to all the people that so faithfully prayed for Preston before
and during his open heart surgery.  The VSD (hole between the two lower
chambers) was much larger than tests had shown.  But there was no damage to
the lungs.

Your prayers not only guided Preston through the surgery, but he recovered
so quickly that he was able to come home a week early.  On the sixth day
after surgery, he was running around like nothing had ever happened.

On the day of his surgery, an amazing calm came over me and my husband that
could only have been a gift from God.  We know people were praying for us
too, and it was so apparent what God was doing.
