We italicize certain Unix programs because they are generally lower-cased, and sometimes have names that are too much like standard English (make, cat, lint), so we want a way to make them stand out enough that our readers will know what we mean. But anything that takes a capital letter we set in Roman. Vicki Rosenzweig Associate Editor, Computing Reviews vr%acmcr.uucp@murphy.com 212-626-0666
