Dear Antje
I was in Benin from sept 97 til jan 98. There were about fifteen "private"
radio projects who applied after the opening anouncement. The Kerekou's
governement choose the most serious of them (from islamic or catholic
radios to what we know as 'community radios', and also some commercial
radios). I don't actually remember which ones were choosen. I think you
could find some relevant information at the following adress (in french):

You'll find there the e-mail of some local papers you could contact (since
as you know press is anarchically free there)
