MEDIA IN ADULT EDUCATION

Notification & Call for Contributions

Peninsula Technikon is pleased to be hosting a one-day conference on the
theme of Media in Adult Education as a part of the celebration of adult
learning that will be taking place nationally and internationally in the
week beginning 7 September 1998. The conference is intended to bring
together a wide range of people who are interested in adult education
and the impact on it of the various technologies and media of
communication. This invitation is for interested persons to register for
the conference and / or to submit short proposals for workshop
presentations.

Keynote Speakers & Panelists

The speakers who will be participating include:

Eronini Megwa (HOD Journalism at Peninsula Technikon)
Faith Mtambo (SABC Presenter - Educator Express)
Patrick Lekota (Chairman Council of Provinces)
Vicki Usherwood (Australian Adult Educationist)
Media in Education

Cost

The conference fee is R100 (meals inclusive).

Contributions

Short proposals (approx. 200 words) are invited for parallel workshop
sessions on any of the following:

˜ Media in workplace education
˜ Information literacy
˜ Open & distance learning
˜ Multimedia in adult learning
˜ Public broadcasting
˜ Community radio and print media
˜ Alternative modes of delivery in adult education
