I have a collection of articles about UNESCO's seminar
in Chile about communication and democracy in Latin America and
the Caribbean that took place May 2 to 6. Five of the six
articles are from IPS and 4 of those are in Spanish. The titles
are:

LATIN AMERICA:Women, ethnic groups lack access to press

The fifth article, also in Spanish is from the Servicio
Informativo de Chile.

Grassroots communication projects, including community radio and
"micromedia" practitioners had a surprisingly strong
representation at the meeting.

The UNESCO seminar was attended by some 400 media representatives
from Latin America and the Caribbean and is the third in a series
that began in Windhoek, Namibia in 1991 and Alma Ata, Kazakhstan
in 1992.

If you want copies of these documents, send me an email message.
