Subject: study grants/seminars in japan

I am a filipino journalist working with the Philippine Center for Investigative
Journalism. an in-depth report i wrote last october about the plight of
indigenous peoples in the philippines recently received the third prize in the
3rd annual journalism awards sponsored by the louie prieto foundation. the
acclaim won for me a round-trip ticket to any of the following japan
destinations: tokyo, osaka or nagoya, between now and march 25, 2000.
unfortunately, the free trip does not have the added benefit of a study
tour/grant to make it more valuable for my journalistic endeavors. in this
light, i'd like to seek assistance regarding available study grants/fellowships
in the following fields of study: investigative journalism, computer-assisted
reporting, indigenous peoples' rights, environment, information and
communication technology.

thank you very much.
