TO MEMBERS OF THIS LISTSERV,
Dear colleague
First, our apologies for any cross-posting of this
message. As there is no easy way to send a
message to a large number of listservs we ask that
you bear with us in our work.
This notice is intended to serve three purposes.
1. To inform you of the establishment of a
Computer Literacy Project accessible via Gopher.
2. To invite you to take part in research to be
used in the development of a Computer Literacy
Curriculum for Pre-service Teacher Education.
3. If you have participated in the our earlier research
to inform you where you can find the preliminary results.
During the Spring 1993 we have used a number of Listserv's
to collect the responses to our survey addressing the
computer literacy requirements for the pre-service
teachers. To remediate typical problems of e-mail based
surveys and in order to confirm and expand the results of
the first survey we have developed a methodology based on
multistep data collection. This message is send out as a
part of the second stage of the project.
We would like to encourage you to take part in the survey if
you have not already done so.
If you are interested in doing so you may obtain copies of
the surveys part 1 and 2 by using the Gopher site below or
sent an E-mail message to:
gduckett@deakin.oz.au
>With the following message:
SEND SURVEYS
Further information and instructions relating to the
study will be supplied at the Gopher site or sent with
the surveys.
If you have any questions/comments/problems please
contact us immediately.
Please send returns not later then 17 October 1993!
Thank you for the participation,
George Duckett
Tony Mitchell
Marcin Paprzycki
