My EndNote library is about 4000 and growing by about 1000 per year. One
problem I have is redundant index numbers due to deletions, excision of
duplications and general "tidying-up".  Consequently my numbering is up
around 5500.  The only way round this is to construct a new library from
scratch, but this would have to be done in batches of, say, 100 references
due to memory limitations. Any ideas out there?
