A PC-using colleague of mine (Tony Scofield: sbc_as @ the same address as me) ha
d similar problems of unpredictable behaviour when using EndNote+ with WordPerf
ect 5.1 For Windows under Windows3.1. In addition he found that the mouse beha
ved erratically (if at all) when he was in File Manager. The solution came fro
m our experts in the Computer Services Department. Tony writes as follows:-
To overcome the failure of the mouse to work with EndNote plus (and other proble
ms) in Windows with WordPerfect running, first enter PIF Editor and open Endno
te.pif, set the EXECUTION OPTION to EXCLUSIVE and then SAVE. This will ensure
that the mouse works in both EndNote Plus and WordPerfect when both are open.
I hope this helps ....alternatively you could buy a Mac.
