Dear friends:

You are invited to contribute and use the Nile Basin Society discussion
forum. The forum is meant to discuss issues concerning Nile Basin countries
to spread understanding between them.

The Nile Basin countries in their move towards cooperation in equitable
distribution of Nile River water as manifested by the progress of the Nile
Basin Initiative, are in need of access to information.

The Nile Basin Society, a Canadian NGO, aims to spread information about
conditions in the 10 Nile Basin countries as well as information about water
resources management, aid and economy, environment, sustainable development,
gender issues, agriculture and information and communication technologies
(ICT).

We hope you find the site useful. We also welcome personal and
organizational membership from allover the world and from Nile Basin
countries in particular.

Sincerely,

Nabil M. El-Khodari
