Well it would seem I made a slight error in telling you all to expect
500 old posts.  Some of you will feel relieved at that and others will
be upset.

The machine this network runs on is actually 7 separate machines
joined together and the BBS itself takes in around 6000 of the more
popular newsgroups.  It was still operating in our absence.  Due to
the incredible volume on the Usenet many of the 500 posts we were
holding for later transmittal were scrolled off to make room for new
posts in other areas.  We were left with around 75 old posts that had
come in most recently due to the FIDO gateway we have.  Most all of
those 75, you will notice have an address at INDY.COM.  This is how
any posts coming from FIDO and going out through the internet gateway
will look to you.  They will all have the senders name followed by
Indy.com.

I appreciate the few of you who could personally recall old posts you
sent that scrolled.  I would have asked Don to do something to hold
all of those posts but I had forgotten how quick our scroll rate was
now and I didn't anticipate it being a problem.  Two months ago it
would not have been.
