In article <79.501.975@indy.com> ernest.loiselle@indy.com (Ernest Loiselle) writes: E> The age of the Rainbow Girls was 12 to 20 years of age As the original writer of this thread, I must clear this up. :-) About 5 years ago, Supreme Assembly changed the age limits for a Rainbow Girl. Now, a girl must be between the ages of *11* and 20. Also, since many parents not familiar with the Fraternity objected to their daughters joining Rainbow, Supreme allows parents and legal gaurdians to attend meetings. This way, parents don't think their daughters are involved in a Satanic cult, as some do. :-) This change was made about 3 years ago. E >In many cases the girls who reach their majority go on to become involved in the OES. > Ernie The girls who reach their Majority can go on to OES if they are RELATED to a Mason either as a WIFE, MOTHER, DAUGHTER, SISTER, or GRANDDAUGHTER. In fact, if a Rainbow Girl is related to a Mason as anything but a wife, she may join Star when she turns 18 and be a member of both Rainbow and Star. I, myself, waited, and joined Star last October. However, in Rainbow, a girl would be still be considered a girl rather than an adult if she were in both organizations. -- "I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth." -- Genesis 9:13 Donna J.
