This is true, but I think having them available otherwise is a good
transition move. What I see is the students are more willing to
accept the use of the calculator if they can dodge the high price by
checking one out like library materials on reserve. AFTER they have
worked with it a while, THEY get the idea that it would be easier and
worthwhile to get their own.
