 I just got back from Christmas and in going through the Soggies notes
 I have two questions:
first
 RWW Taylor         rwtnts@rit.edu
 gave a formula for the probability of getting the complete set of three
 prizes in N boxes as [2^(N-1)-2]/3^N . Shoud there have been N-1 instead
 of N in the exponent of 3 or am I getting everything mixed up?
   second: Can someone explain the mathematics behind the statement
    " For example, in the case mentioned above we have
L = {0.3, 0.3, 0.3, 0.1} , and one value we can use to start off
the computation  with is E( L/{1,1,1,0} ), which is clearly 10. "
       I'm not sure I understand what E represents. Is it the number of
boxes you expect to buy to get all four prizes or three of the four? I guess
I'm not sure I got the whole document. We had an earthquake in Japan and it
scrambled our system for awhile.
     What is "clearly 10"? Why is it "clearly 10"? and how was the answer
arrived at.  Can we at
least get a few more examples.
        Thanks for your patience
