My questions cover several topics, separately.  Please feel free to respond
to any part.

I  know many sites don't bother with VMSPOOL, since it is not part of the
VMCENTER bundled pricing. But here goes...

1) I'm a class G user, with no special VMSPOOL authorities. I'm executing
VMSPOOL SPOOLIST on my spool files. I place the cursor on a reader file and
hit PF11 (BROWSE).  My problem: if I hit PF11(bottom), within browse, if
the file is more than a screen or two, I don't necessarily get to the
bottom of the file, but part way down. If I go to the top and PF8 (forward
1 screen) my way ... all the way down... I will get to true End-of-file.
Similiar behavior occurs with /string (locate).  Suggestions, zaps, puts,
ptfs ??

2) We currently make available a VMBATCH worker via CLASS S for serializing
access to SQL/DS. We currently only have on SQL/DS service machine.  We
anticipate going to multiple SQL/DS svm's to solve inter-divisional
conention problems.  What I'm looking for is a simple scheme to still allow
for serializing access to *a* SQL/DS (rather than to *the* SQL/DS) machine.
Any suggestions ?  It could be any scarce resource that went from unique to
non-unique.
