I am not clear on what you are trying to do.  When you say you want to
move the disk, do you mean you now have a different label on it?  That
is the only way I can think of that the directory definition would need
to change (which is what people normally mean by 'move', right?).  But
I don't see where LINKs and RULES would come into that.  If you want
the fullpack to belong to a different id (or the same id at a different
vaddr) that would be a TRANSFER.  I believe TRANSFER does work on an
IGNOREd minidisk.  I think it updates the links but not the rules.  But
the rules for the fullpack would normally all be in one file belonging
to the owner, right?  When you go into VMSECURE RULES you are in Xedit
and you can do all the nifty Xedit stuff like CHANGE and ALL, or you
can PUT them on your A disk and then do VMSECURE RULES for some other
id and GET them, etc.

If you mean that you would like to change the label on the pack and have
all the minidisks on that pack changed in the directory to show the new
label, someone asked for that at an SCI conference once and did not get
much support.  (I think a number of the attendees didn't understand what
he meant; I thought it was a great idea.)

Is any of this at all related to what you are trying to do, or am I
missing the boat entirely?
