I thought you might be interested in the same information I just posted
on VMXA-L.  There is indeed an IBM-supplied fix for VMBACKUP 5.1 running
on VM/XA with CP APAR VM46169.  The PTF and APAR IDs are UV53842 and
VM48284 respectively.  We have them on PUT9201.  I got this information
from IBM VMBACKUP Level 1.  VMBACKUP 5.1, in other words, is still being
*maintained* by IBM if not enhanced or marketed.  Let's not get scared
quite yet! :-)
