Hello,
We are running ESA 1.0 ESA Feature and are just starting to play around
with the Shared File System. This is our first experience with it having
come from HPO 5. My question is related to backing up the SFS. We have
VMBACKUP 5.3A and it seems to work fine backing up the user data. I need
to know what to do about the control minidisks and the log minidisks.
Also, do you take a backup of the minidisks that hold user data or
do you exclude them from the VMBACKUP job? We have NOBACKUP in the
DMSPARMS file. Our log minidisk has just filled up on our test pool.
What are we supposed to do with the log if we are not using IBM SFS
backups? Is the only way to reset it with the SFS backup procedure?
I can't seem to find much info on all this. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Katherine Faella
