FIPS ( The First nondestructive Interactive Partition Splitting program)
is designed to do pretty much the same exact thing. It is available
free at:

 ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/distributions/slackware/install/FIPS.

The below is an excerpt from the FIPS doc.

"FIPS is a program designed to split an existing DOS partition without
deleting the data on it.

FIPS is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify
it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by
the Free Software Foundation; either version 2, or (at your option)
any later version."
