I am the manager of the Computer Lab at Eastern Virginia Medical
School. In the lab we provide instructional programming, office
applications, and internet access. Our facilities are small, and
recently many of our patrons have begun to request that they be
able to access the various software on our network via their home
computers. Several students raised the question specifically for
word-processing.

We are wondering what kind of precedent there is for this type of
service. Do you provide remote access to any of your software to
your users? If so, what types of software? How do you provide the
access? We are trying to get a general idea of how and how much
remote access is done at other institutions. Any information you
can provide me with will be greatly appreciated. Reply to me and
I will summarize to the list if there is interest.

Thank You,

Stephanie Letson
