So much misinformation!  :-)

MacTCP (what most Mac users have now) is currently at 2.0.6.

Open Transport (what only new PCI-based Mac users can use right now) is
currently at 1.0.8.  Version 1.1 is soon to be released to allow all Mac
users to upgrade to it.  Version 2.0 is probably over a year away, as it
will be included in the Mac OS System 8 (Copland) release.
