Yes, I had this problem with Turbo Pascal 6. I solved it by juggling versions of
and the ODI stack software ( and saying a few incantations ;-) )

The successful version of DOS was 6.0 and the dates of the versions of net softw
are listed below.

LSL      COM              8,780 05/11/92  14:40
SMC8000  COM             34,166 10/07/93  17:01
NETX     EXE             78,606 24/06/93  14:18
IPXODI   COM             30,247 07/10/93  16:52
ODIPKT   COM              2,956 17/01/94  17:00

This setup has been working since early 1994.
