RevRDist and virtual memory, System 7.5.1

----------------------------Original message----------------------------
We have a lab full of PowerMac 7100's with 16MB RAM, running System 7.5.1;
we're using RevRDist (v1.5d64) to keep things under control. One thing we
haven't been able to do is to get virtual memory under 7.5.1 to co-exist
with RevRDist. VM works fine without RevRDist. As near as we can tell,
RevRDist is set up according to the docs (and like it was previously on
other Macs running 7.1 and *not* having this problem). VM continues to work
after the first RevRDist run, of course, but after the second the VM Storage
file is missing (though the distfile says to ignore it, and the logfile
indicates that it was ignored). The Memory CP retains the correct settings.
It looks like there's some other System-related file involved that's
deleting the VM Storage file for us.
Has anyone else out there run into this problem or a similar one? Anyone
have any suggestions? Does anyone have virtual memory working in a similar
configuration? Is there another forum I should be asking this in? Any help
appreciated. TIA.
