Then you've proved my claims! :-)

You have version 1.1b10, which is (as Apple says in the above read me) a
*development* release. Version 1.1, as I said, is not yet available.

Maybe you don't understand the version numbering, but the standard
progression in this case would be 1.1d (development), then 1.1a (alpha),
then 1.1b (beta), and finally 1.1. Each of these releases may have
various numbers after them to signify the numerous rewrites/bug fixes.
So, 1.1b10 is merely the 10th beta release of version 1.1. The final
release of version 1.1 is not yet completed, and it may take some time.

As I mentioned above, version 1.0.8 is the current release version. As
of 1/8/96, the current *beta* version is 1.1b12c4. See for yourself on
the Apple Open Transport web page:

http://Pilot.NJIN.Net/~msproul/macintosh/OpenTpt.html

One final request (for everyone): I think it's terrific that everyone is
so eager to respond to each other's requests for help and information, but
please be sure you are posting correct information before you send a message
to the entire list. Many times incorrect information could do more damage
than no information at all. In this case, I counted over 10 unnecessary
messages to a question that could have been correctly answered once.
