Hi Nettrainers: I know this has been discussed before, and examples have been given, but of course at the time I wasn't concerned with the information. What do you tell people about what can and cannot be found on the web? Here is a good example: someone was looking for a list of sporting good stores in this area. She was complaining that she couldn't find it on the web...I said "Why not just use the yellow pages?" People are going to the web first, when perhaps it is not the best place to get information. Information in dictionaries, phone books, almanacs are quickly found in these print resources. What do you tell your students about when to use the web, and when not to?
