Just thought I'd share...... For an example of some of the new creative technological happenings on the Web, check out the web site for the What Dreams May Come movie - http://www.whatdreamsmay.com/ Not only can you enter some of the worlds of the movie (Paradise, Hell etc.), click around each image and catalyze special effects (sounds, video, ghostlike images, video - like a kind of Myst online) but you can also go to Create Your Own World, choose a canvas and use the Internet-based paint-program to paint your own version of Paradise. Then you can save your image and invite friends to visit it. This is a unique way to introduce students to some of the new creative developments on the Internet, and encourage them to have fun at the same time. I can also image public school teachers using this site with young children - using the existing images and the paint tools provided to create their own version of paradise online, then encourage them to talk about why they created it as they did, and invite their friends to come and view their artwork. WARNING: This is a java-based setup, and may require at least a pentium..... _________________________________________________________________ Tracy Marks, M.A. tmar@tiac.net http://www.windweaver.com/ WINDWEAVER Web and Windows 95 Resources - Web search and design Webwinds Web Cameras http://www.webwinds.com/ Webcards: Annotated Guide http://www.webwinds.com/cards/cards.htm Figure skating photos http://www.webwinds.com/skating/skating.htm K12 Resource site http://www.webwinds.com/k12/links.htm
