well, i, for one, don't think their web site is a very positive reflection on a company that's supposed to know the web. drill drill drill. lots of graphics [gratuitous]. no metatags. no alt tags. not html 4.0 compliant (ie, accessible). This is the first i've heard of the World Organization of Webmasters... HTML Writers Guild, WebGrrls International, and Assn. of Internet Professionals ... gads, they don't even have enough sense to link the news release to the WOW web site. I know certification is going to be a Big Deal -- I tried to push HWG to move toward in when I was on the board two years ago. But there was huge resistance among the rank-and-file membership. Right now, if I were going to get an "web type" certification, I'd probably do the Microsoft one. I've even thought about it, even though I don't use FrontPage and have no desire to use FrontPage ... but MSFT-type credentials carry a lot of weight in THIS market (Puget Sound). Mind if I post your request to a web consultant list? Kathy Kathy E.
