I have occasionally used a borrowed HP LaserJet 6L to print Lingua
files containing a lot of Hebrew--no problems except that the Garamond
font doesn't look like Garamond and sometimes there's an extra page
at the end of a job containing nothing but some stray printer codes.
I haven't needed to try too hard to fix either of these.  (I have used a
a LaserJet 4 Lingua driver.)

Lingua in HP emulation mode

I am thinking of buying a laser printer that is said to work in HP 
emulation mode (Okidata 6ex, Brother 730 have been mentioned). This is 
because these laser printers are available in Israel with built in Hebrew 
which I need for other purposes. Does anyone have experience using these 
or other laser printers in HP emulation mode for printing from HP 4.5 
LINGUA with the drivers available for the HP laser printers.

Does anyone have any experience of using the Brother HL-760 laser printer 
to print Lingua?  Any comments or criticisms on this printer would be much 
appreciated.
