I am interested in hearing of campus-wide faculty/course
evaluation systems currently running at a university. We
at the University of Hawaii are moving towards conducting
such an evaluation each semester at our approximately
20,000-student campus.
We would like to have a cafeteria, or menu, type of
evaluation system which enables the faculty to customize
their questionnaire with items from an item catalog.
What approach has been taken to develop an evaluation system
at your university?
What computer hardware and software are used in the system,
e.g. computer, operating system, disk, laser printer,
programming language, applications software, etc.?
What scanner hardware and software are used in the system?
How are the following produced -
item catalog (if any)
master checklist of faculty/classes in evaluation
questionnaire request form
evaluation questionnaire(s)
evaluation report(s) ?
Any other information that you might have regarding
evaluation systems are welcome.
