Hi all Here in University College Dublin we have an OMR 80 using the EDPAC software. It is mainly used for correcting multiple choice exams. It works quite well but there are a number of problems. 1. The present software does not allow negative marking 2. It only produces text files which cannot be read into a spreadsheet or database We have overcome the first problem by adding our own utility, but this only produces text files and there is no choice as to what data to include in the output file. Also these files cannot be imported into a spreadsheet or database. We are using another utility to create comma delimited files which can be read into spreadsheets. With this utility you also do not have a choice as to what data to include in the output file. Does anyone know of any software which will do negative marking and which will allow the user to choose what data should go into the output file and can these files be read into a spreadsheet or database? replies to BGAINES@OLLAMH.UCD.IE Thanks Brian Gaines Adviser UCD Computing Services Dublin Ireland P-MAIL BGAINES@OLLAMH.UCD.IE Have a better one!
