Jack,
The CD-rom disc does not have simulation materials. It does
have experiments, both in the demonstration resources and the
one particular section called teachers' contribution.

For most of you, seasoned, experienced physics teacher, I don't
know whether or not you need it. But for me, new physics
teacher, it is very useful. It is really more of a resource,
reference type of materail.

In case you do not have access to the newsletter for the
contents, i am going to list a few items as example

Articles and abstracts:--many selected articles from "The
physics teacher" and the two journal by AAPT
Also, it has the complete index of "the physics teacher"
1976---1992

Books----Biography of physics
Physics Desk Reference
Potporri of physics teaching
Teaching high school physics

Booklets----several, I used the one on pressure cooker to cover
my whole heat unit

catalog-------Cenco, Pasco, Vernier

Helpful College Directory--over 100 educators who are willing
to share their time, talent and interest---I recognized and
even know some of them, but I haven't tried contacted anyone

Demonstration and laboratory Resources---lots idea

Keyword---VERY GOOD I think. IT includes math, chemistry,
biology, all branches of physics. In each of these, Every
term, comcept you can imagined is included. Last Fall David
Popp mentioned about concept mapping. I did not follow
through. I picked up the idea after I field test the cd rom.,
perfect resources for me to do this activity

Problems----Unlimited
        Progressive problems in physics
        Regent's physics review
Problems in General Physics for College Course

The beauty of the problems set is that diagrams, figures,
tables are or there, all you need to is paste them. no need to
xerox from a book and then cut and paste. The downside is that
most of the problems are in British units instead of SI, what I
did was I converted them before I print

Study Guide

Teacher's contribution---I like this BEST

Equations----
Last three weeks of school, I covered history of
physics--plenty of materials to help me design my lesson

I aming a teacher work on gender equity, --women in science. I
was able to dig out lots of references to write our proposal.

There are more. I don't thik you want to read anymore. Why
not get your hand on the disk and check it out yourself.
