I've used Merrill's book this year, my first year of teaching. My impression of the book is that is seems to cover what needs to be covered, but the problems and answers to problems seem badly done at times--wording and rounding have been troublesome for me and my kids. Occasionally we find a wrong answer, too. I wouldn't have chosen it unless it was the "best" available, whatever that means. Surely somebody has written a book with more care.
