Ladies and Gentlemen,
The language cT was written by Bruce Sherwood and his staff at the
Center for the Design of Educational Computing (CDEC) at Carnegie Mellon
University.
Any program written in cT will rund on a Mac or a properly
equipped clone. One of the first things that cT does is check out what
type of system it is running on and it then makes all the adjustments
to permit it to run on either a Mac or a clone. I have seen a cT program
run on a Mac and then be ssent over the CMU computer network to a clone.
which then ran the program complete with the graphics. The language is
also designed to automatically upgrade any programs written in a previous
version of cT whenever the code is executed by a earlier version of the
language. This language is a major miracle that will hopefully make
school boards refusal to buy certain types of computers unimportant.
