I have taught a one-month, one course term which was to be equivalent to a
semester course and in no way was it equivalent.  Very few
students can absorb that much information or learn to work that
many new types of problems in that short of time.  The short
term worked fine for specialized courses, such as physics of
musical instruments, which I taught one year, but not for
standard courses.  (This was at Randolph-Macon College,
Ashland, Va.)

In your case, just doubling the rate will not seem quite as
bad, but I think it will be difficult for slower students.
