Re: One more lab question

I am very interested in reading responses to this and I think that it is
very appropriate to respond to the list since I suspect that this is an
issue that affects all high school physics teachers.

Right now I assign one day a week for lab makeup after school, usually
Friday since that is the day with the fewest practices after school. If a
student cannot make it Friday after school then I allow them to make it
up before school since I arrive early anyway. (Usually Friday will seem
infinitely better than getting to school at 7:00 AM.) If they do it before
school, they don't get as much help from me since I usually am busy. They
have one week to make up the lab. If they have not made it up in that
amount of time, too bad!
